Ann-Marie Llanes, PA-C

"I feel blessed and delighted to make a difference in my patients' lives every day. When someone comes in, I don't just see their skin. I see a whole person and aim to enhance their confidence."

Ann-Marie Llanes loves everything about being a Physician Assistant. She earned her Master in Physician Assistant Studies from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2015. Ann-Marie received her certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Ann-Marie began her Physician Assistant career in pediatrics. She treated a significant amount of viral rashes, eczema and acne. Having struggled with eczema and acne as a child and teen, the experience made it clear to Ann-Marie that she had a more personal stake in dermatology. Knowing all too well how these conditions can affect a person’s quality of life and self-image, Ann-Marie was determined to focus on dermatology. She wanted to not only to improve a patient’s appearance, but to also improve their self-esteem. Ann-Marie’s years spent in clinical dermatology treating rosacea, acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and more have been incredibly rewarding. Diagnosing and treating patients’ dermatologic disorders is truly her dream come true. She takes great pleasure in building relationships with patients and earning their trust by providing outstanding care.

Ann-Marie is fluent in Spanish and loves to practice with patients. When not in the office, Ann-Marie enjoys spending time with family, taking long walks, enjoying different kinds of coffee and traveling.
