Being a first generation immigrant, I understand that medical appointments can be difficult and intimidating if language is a barrier. As a fluently-speaking Chinese/Mandarin provider, I feel fortunate to be able to provide dermatologic care to all ages in this special community."
Jie is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of comprehensive experience in the healthcare field. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University, where she built a strong clinical foundation and commitment to patient-centered care.
Jie’s passion for dermatology began early in her career while working as a medical assistant alongside dermatologists and Mohs surgeons. This experience sparked her deep interest in caring for patients with a wide range of skin conditions. She later pursued nursing and, as a Registered Nurse, gained extensive experience across multiple specialties, including critical care, pre- and post-operative care, allergy medicine, and clinical research.
After becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, Jie further advanced her dermatology expertise by completing physician led dermatology trainings, and trainings through the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based dermatologic care to patients of all ages.
Outside of her professional life, Jie enjoys outdoor activities and spending quality time with her husband and son.
