Dr. Yaritza Serrano Gomez is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who completed extensive postgraduate training in dermatology and practices exclusively in dermatology. She earned her medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico before completing her Family Medicine residency at Northwell Health Glen Cove Hospital in New York, where she served as Chief Resident. She further advanced her dermatology training through a fellowship in Medical Dermatology.

Dr. Serrano Gomez is passionate about caring for patients of all ages and treating a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. Her clinical interests include acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, skin cancer detection and treatment, and the diagnosis and management of complex dermatologic conditions. She also performs a variety of in-office procedures, including skin biopsies, lesion removals, cryotherapy, and other dermatologic procedures.

Having personally struggled with acne since adolescence, Dr. Serrano Gomez understands the emotional and physical impact skin conditions can have on a person’s confidence and quality of life. This personal experience inspired her passion for dermatology and allows her to connect with patients through compassionate, individualized care. She believes in partnering with each patient to develop personalized treatment plans that help them achieve healthy skin and renewed confidence.

In addition to medical dermatology, Dr. Serrano Gomez has completed advanced training in aesthetic medicine through the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, allowing her to provide comprehensive care for both medical and cosmetic skin concerns. She is committed to staying current with the latest advances in dermatology to provide her patients with the highest quality care.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Serrano Gomez is dedicated to making every patient feel comfortable, heard, and confident throughout their dermatologic journey.
