Viraj Patel (Shah) graduated from Rutgers University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Following her time at Rutgers, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Pace University-Lenox Hill Hospital, graduating the program with honors. At Pace, she authored a Clinical Review Article entitled Breast Cancer Screening in Women ages 40-49.

Viraj has 10+ years experience in full body skin cancer screenings, patch testing, cryosurgery, incision and drainages, shave and punch biopsies, and treating dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, and warts. Viraj is highly trained and takes a special interest in treating skin of color. In addition to all areas of medical dermatology, she also offers cosmetic treatments including Botox, microneedling, PRP for facial rejuvenation and hair loss, and full body laser hair removal.

Viraj is proud of creating a brochure on the risks of tanning including acne, eye damage, skin cancer, and wrinkles.

Viraj is a dedicated member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Viraj keeps current by attending local meetings and actively participating in dermatological case studies. Besides being a PA, Viraj is also a professional Bollywood dancer who enjoys performing at various events and award shows.
