"I have been practicing dermatology since 1976 yet I am constantly amazed at the continued satisfaction I get from treating patients' dermatological issues, and the gratitude that patients often express. I recall in particular one teenage girl with severe acne who was bullied in school to the point that she was suicidal. As her severe acne improved, I could see the change in her personality. When she finally cleared the smile and joy on her face was something I’ll always remember and cherish. Thankfully, I have had the opportunity to effectively treat so many lovely people, and really make a difference in their lives. My own life has been that much more gratifying as a result."
Dr. Joseph Strauch is a board-certified physician specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. He received his BA from Yeshiva University and his medical degree from George Washington University. There he was chosen to be in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Strauch interned at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn after which he served as Medical Officer in the U.S. Navy. He then did a medical residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by a dermatology residency at Albert Einstein, where Dr. Strauch served as Chief Resident. Upon completing his residency, Dr. Strauch served as a Clinical Instructor in Dermatology.
Besides his private practice, Dr. Strauch is Chief, Division of Dermatology at Raritan Bay Medical Center.
In his spare time Dr. Strauch enjoys tennis, biking, skiing, and watching hockey.
