Lisa Altman, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, BCFMP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of nursing experience and specialized experience in dermatology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University, graduating summa cum laude, and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Golden Key International Honor Society in recognition of her academic excellence. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from Rivier University, graduating summa cum laude.

Lisa is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and holds additional certification in functional medicine through the American Association of Natural Wellness Practitioners (AANWP). She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Advanced Practice Nurses of New Jersey.

A native of Ocean County, New Jersey, Lisa began her nursing career in oncology at Jersey Shore University Medical Center before joining Community Medical Center as a Float Pool Registered Nurse. In this role, she gained extensive experience caring for patients across a variety of specialties, including cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, oncology, and women’s health. She later served as Assistant Director of the Women’s Health Unit, earned her New Jersey School Nurse Certification, and spent 10 years serving as a school nurse in Ocean County.

After obtaining her advanced practice degree, Lisa transitioned into dermatology to pursue her passion for preventive medicine, skin health, and patient education. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care and believes that patients should be active partners in their healthcare. Her approach focuses on developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate the latest evidence-based medical therapies while considering each patient’s goals, needs, and lifestyle.

Lisa’s clinical interests include skin cancer prevention and early detection, medical dermatology, anti-aging treatments, and aesthetic medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, skiing, exercising, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
